A Streckfus steamer in 1910, the year that John Streckfus, Sr. (1856–1925) established the Streckfus Steamers company! John Streckfus started a steam packet business in the 1880s but transitioned his fleet to the river excursion business around the turn of the century. In 1907, he incorporated Streckfus Steamers to raise capital and expand his riverboat excursion business. The quality of this photograph is quite remarkable. Though it's not possible on FB, on the original downloaded image one can zoom right in and see the passangers enjoying their day out on board the steamer 20 Street scene, unknown location, between 1920 and 1926
